American Foundation for the Blind - Interim Regional Development Officer

Dallas Holocaust Museum - Chief Advancement Officer

  • Reestablished annual development operations at critical period in museum history and surpassed development revenue goal with $2.2 million
  • Hired and trained three new development staff members; exceeded signature event revenue goal by 54% with record-setting $1.1 million projected
  • Increased 2014 board member giving by 38%; staffed launch of board campaign, including: selection of committee, creation of board campaign materials, analysis of donor giving, volunteer orientation through assignment of calls

Plano Independent School District (PISD) - Interim Executive Director & Nonprofit Management Consultant

  • As foundation interim executive director, guided smooth nonprofit operations throughout six-month leadership search and transition, while generating $600,000 in revenue and guiding operational improvements
  • As a management consultant working with the school district and nonprofit leadership, provided strategic management counsel, program identification and development, major gift cultivation, solicitation and grant management services

Dallas Furniture Bank - Interim Executive Director

  • Effectively led the nonprofit throughout a four-month leadership change, while serving as program and operations manager, transitioning accounting services and reorganizing nonprofit management records for easy access by incoming executive

Houston Independent School District (HISD) - Assistant Superintendent, Community Relations

  • Reorganized the 26-person Community Relations division to work more effectively with hundreds of Houston area nonprofit, community and business partners
  • Increased support for urban schools and community to $10 million annually
  • Served on numerous nonprofit boards; supervised 20,000-person volunteer program; facilitated business speakers bureau as signature program of Houston chamber of commerce; and established special events department
  • Guided the reorganization of the HISD Foundation, while serving as the nonprofit's interim executive director for two years, raising $2.1 million

Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) - Director of Development and Community Partnerships and Foundation Executive Director

  • Established community-wide programs with 300 business partnerships and 3,000 volunteers
  • Also founded the SBISD Education Foundation and served as executive director, raising $500,000 annually; created five major programs and fundraising events; developed organization's first multi-million dollar capital campaign and planned giving efforts; built organization for continued success
  • Developed a public sector-private sector-church partnership to form the Spring Branch Family Development Center, a full-service facility serving a low-income area with a pre-K center, Boys and Girls Club, nonprofit health clinic and numerous social service agencies
